No Longer Empty – Tapiz

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Tapiz is presented by No Longer Empty in collaboration with Tapestry and El Museo Del Barrio as part of the public art exhibition Weaving In & Out. Tapestries are hanging, multicolored, woven histories. In Tapiz, I am weaving the faces of 125th street together to represent a merging of past present and future. People from diverse backgrounds are converging in Harlem, which will generate a new cultural and economic renaissance.

June 15th – August 29th, 2010

Opening: June 15th 6pm – 9pm
Open to public: Wednesday – Saturday 12pm -7pm
Tapestry 245 East 124th St. at 2nd Ave. New York City
